BAGO DIVISION – Thayarwaddy District Battalion 3802’s Officer in charge of information and communication comrade Duya said that Khin Tun Lwin, the administrator of the Nyaung Kone village group, was shot and killed in Minhla township of Bago division, who has been threatening to burn down homes that did not pay military service supporting money.
On November 19th, at around 8:10 a.m. in the morning, Khin Tun Lwin was riding a motorcycle towards Minhla city, when he was shot to the head at the point of the southern part of the village of Chaungna by revolutionary soldiers.
It is known that the deceased had threatened young people to serve in the military, he even called the junta army to burn the homes that did not pay the military service allowance, forced them to abduct them and threatened to burn them down and he also unlawfully extorted money from the people.
“This morning, I heard that he was going to the city, so we waited and attacked him with one shot. He died on the spot. He demanded 60,000 kyats per house as a military service supporting money, and threatened to burn the houses that did not pay the money. First, we warned by calling him. But he didn’t even pay attention and even called the army to abduct them. The governors causing trouble and threatening to the public, will be cleared continuously, at any time and anywhere. We want to warn them to stop causing trouble,” said Comrade Bo Duya, who is in charge of information and communication of Battalion 3802 of Thayarwaddy District.
The attack was carried out by 2nd and 3rd companies of 3802 Thayarwaddy District Battalion and Min Hla Township Public Defense Body worked together. A mobile phone, 400,000 kyats of cash, a side bag and 1 motorcycle were confiscated from the deceased administrator.
