MYANMAR – Residents reported that junta council troops and junta administration teams abducted nearly 20 young men for conscription in Mawlamyinegyun Township of Ayeyarwaddy Division and Aunglan Township of Magway Division.
In Nonkyun Village Tract of Mawlamyinegyun Township, junta administration officer Zaw Lin Maung, Hundred-household Chief Myint Zaw and his son Myo Min Tun and representative Kyaw Toe colluded with junta forces and abducted ten young men for the 8th batch of military conscription.
“Administration Officer Zaw Lin Maung, Hundred-household Chief Myint Zaw and his son Myo Min Tun and representative Kyaw Toe worked together with junta forces and abducted young men for the eighth batch of conscription. A total of ten people were abducted,” said a local resident.
In addition, around 6 a.m. on November 19, junta forces led by Aunglan District General Administration Officer abducted seven young men from an express bus near Minkan Village in Aunglan Township between Aunglan and Pyay in Magway Division.
“The general administration officer for Aunglan District personally led the abduction yesterday (November 19). Seven young men were taken. They were pulled off from an express bus running between Aunglan and Pyay. The bus attendant from Minkan Village in Aunglan Township, four uncles and nephews from Kyuwut Village in Pyay Township who came to buy cattle, five young people were taken from Aunglan Moe express bus running between Pyay and Aunglan. The older people were released. A total of seven young people were abducted. They were told to inform their families that they have been drafted,” said a resident.
It is said that Seinkalar, the administration officer for Kywalthay Village in Aunglan Township along with junta administration team members, Pyu Saw Htee thugs and Pyithusit militants accompanied the Aunglan District General Administration Officer in abducting young people off the express bus.
