TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An official from Nway Oo Guerrilla Force (NOGF) reported that a junta soldier stationed at the outpost in Kyauknimaw Village, Launglon Township surrendered with two weapons and was rewarded 80 lakhs Kyats.
Private Kyaw Thet Oo from infantry 267 stationed at Kyauknimaw Village is reported to have surrendered to NOGF on November 2.
He brought two MA1 rifles, five cartridges and 246 bullets and was rewarded 80 lakhs Kyats by NOGF.
“We would like to urge (the junta forces) to quickly escape from the fascist junta council and enter the people’s embrace,” said the official from NOGF.
It is said that arrangements have been made to deliver Mr. Kyaw Thet Oo to safety and NOGF said they will warmly welcome the junta council forces who wish to join the side of the people and informed that suitable monetary rewards will be given to those who brought along weapons when surrendering.
