MAGWAY DIVISION – People’s Revolutionary Alliance Force (PRA- Magway) said that 9 terrorist soldiers were killed and around 10 were wounded when the revolutionary forces intercepted the column that was going to reinforce the junta council’s army in Ann. The interception was taken in Ngape township, Magway division.
People’s Revolutionary Alliance (PRA- Magway) ambushed a junta council’s column with 40 soldiers in about 1,000 meters east of Goggyi village, Ngape township, Magway Division, in November 20th, at 4:00 p.m. The fighting lasted for about 15 minutes, and 9 soldiers, including a sergeant, from the Junta Council were killed. About 10 other soldiers were also injured.
The military column is a joint column of subordinate troops from No. 905 Artillery Command Headquarters and newly trained personnel who were forcefully drafted.
“It can be said that this column will be sent to Rakhine. The convoy was combined with the security forces sent to Rakhine and those who were left behind because of the car broke down. The column that came up to Goggyi was ambushed. Regarding the battle, if I wanted to fill in the details, we worked to mine the convoy going up to Rakhine, but the cars were equipped with jammers, so the remote mines did not explode. Because it didn’t blow up, the soldiers who took security of the convoy and the soldiers that was left because the car broke down ambushed and attacked in another place,” explained the information officer of the People’s Revolutionary Alliance Force (PRA- Magway).
Currently, the People’s Revolutionary Alliance Force (PRA- Magway) of Ngape township is conducting operations as pilot activities to control the Padan-Ann road, the group said in a statement.
After the terrorist war council was attacked in the Western Regional Military Headquarters in Ann township, although they were trying to send reinforcements by air and land, most of the camps and battalions have already been attacked and occupied by the Arakan Army (AA).
