SHAN STATE- United Wa State Army ( UWSA) spokesman Mr. Nyi Ran stated that 762 Chinese nationalities, online money fraud operators in Tang Yang Township under the control of UWSA, were detained and transferred back to China.
On November 19, 762 Chinese nationals who were involved in online fraud were transferred to Chinese authorities. While UWSA patrolling around the Tangyang area, they arrested the online money fraudster working in the area. 762 Chinese fraudsters were detained along with 76 satellite internet (Starlink) access; 1549 phones and 82 computers. According to the Agreement with Public Security and Cooperation of Yunnan, China, the captured fraudsters and evidence were transferred back to Chinese authorities.
“We caught more than 1,000 online fraudster in Tangyang District, where the “Wa” Army is active. 762 people are from China. Yesterday, we made a transfer back at the Chinese border crossing. The remaining 300 fraudsters are Myanmar citizens and will be interrogated and released,” Mr. Nyi Ran said.
On July 10, the UWSA, with a force of thousands of soldiers, entered Tangyang City and occupied the dams of online frauds.
