KACHIN STATE – Kachin Independence Army (KIA) captured prisoners of war from junta side, including captain, and seized more than 100 weapons and drones, after they had controlled Kan Paik Ti Town on Sino – Myanmar border, according to KIA news source.
On November 20, after KIA led Revolutionary Forces had attacked and captured Kan Paik Ti Town, they conducted a clearing operation in and around the town. In the process, they captured prisoners of war including a captain from the junta side, and seized more than 100 weapons and ammunition, as well as many drones
“KIA captured prisoners of war, including the captain. They confiscated more than 100 weapons and ammunition, as well as drones. China has closed the border gate,” explained KIA news source.
The KIA had raised its Kachin national flag at the tunnel on Kan Paik Ti Town and the Sino – Myanmar border, and also the KIA took responsibility for security in the Kan Paik Ti area, and that KIA soldiers were guarding the border gate.
The KIA has reportedly captured the entire Kachin Special Region 1, which was under control of pro-junta Zahkung Ting Ying of New Democratic Army – Kachin
