MYANMAR – Mandalay People’s Defence Force (MDY PDF) is recruiting new soldiers for the upcoming operation to liberate the plains.
MDY PDF informed that after advancing towards the plains with the help of the ethnic regions, it has now marched along the mountain ranges to reach the banks of Ayeyarwaddy River.
The PDF published a recruitment notice on November 22 saying it is in need of soldiers for the upcoming operation to liberate the plains region.
It was mentioned in the notice that PDF MDY has implemented the steps of “recruit, train, team up, battle” process in related departments, achieved victory in small and large battles and established liberated areas.

MDY PDF is under the command of the Ministry of Defence, National Unity Government and is an organisation fighting for federal democracy and eradication of military dictatorship.
It is currently participating in the second part of Operation 1017 and Shan-Man Operation.
MDY PDF has worked alongside the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and captured Nawnghkio in June, junta stations in Singu Township including Singu Town on July 17, Mogok on July 24 and Momeik on July 31.
In addition, it has also captured junta outposts in Thabeikkyin Township. Up till July 31, it has captured 35 junta stations in Madaya Township and has penetrated into Patheingyi Township in Mandalay to attack the junta bases.
