MYANMAR—The National Unity Government has sent a congratulatory message for National Victory Day, which is today, November 25th, 2024.
The message states that the National Unity Government will work alongside the allied ethnic revolutionary forces until the liberation from the military dictatorship and the emergence of a federal democratic union.
NUG said that the National Unity Government has invited various allied revolutionary forces to join together with the People’s Defense Army (PDF) battalions of the National Unity Government, during the spring revolution to fight the military dictator and to work together to build a new federal democratic state to fight against it with a large and united force.
In addition to this, the message also urged monks, people, students, and all the ethnic revolutionary forces, including the people, to unite and completely destroy the military dictatorship to mark a new historical archive.
On the 10th day of the full moon of Tan Sang Mone Burmese year 1282, December 5, 1920 the university students set the day of the first strike to protest the Yangon University Act was marked as National Victory Day.
