MYANMAR – The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) reported that the atrocious junta has been killing civilians, and a total of 5,982 people had been murdered across Myanmar, after the bloody coup d’état in Myanmar, from 1 February 2021 to 25 November 2024.
It has been reported that 27,715 people were abducted and detained; among them, 21,158 abductees are currently under detention and 9,539 out of them have been sentenced, according to the data compiled by AAPP from 1 February 2021 to 25 November 2024.
Of those who were wrongfully convicted, 170 were sentenced to death, including 126 in prison and 44 in absentia.
In addition, according to AAPP, a total of (107) people died of the injuries due to the torture of junta forces in junta-ruled prisons and shortly after being released from prison.
The reported figures were compiled by AAPP within their range and the actual data on the ground are likely to be higher. It was said that if more data is collected, it will be added further.
