Ta’ang State: Ta’ang National Liberation Army- TNLA announced on the morning of November 26 that TNLA Female Soldiers Committees had celebrated the commemoration of the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women at a place in Brigade (3) region in Ta’ang State from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on November 25.
The celebration was aimed that the civilians would know the “Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”, would understand the strategies and policies of the “Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, would support to achieve the aims, would cooperate to do the women’s affairs and would eliminate the violence against women in Ta’ang region.
The female soldiers committees (PSLF/ TNLA) were known to have organised the celebrations of the “Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”, where over (200) people of local ethnics such as Lisu, Kachin, Shan and Ta’ang, as mentioned in the announcement.
