SAGAING DIVISION – Heavy artillery shells fired by the terrorist junta forces landed in Letpanchaung Village, northwestern Kalay Township and killed four civilians including a child, according to local reports.
The junta artillery battalion in Kalay fired four heavy artillery shells at past 10 a.m. on November 26, and the explosion from the shells killed Ms. Lah Byat Pwi (25), Mr. Lal Mein Htan Ah (65), Ms. Hlaung Nate Parh (54) and Mr. Lal Rett El (14).
“There was no battle. They fired the shells without reason. Because of the junta shelling, civilians had to flee. It was fired from the artillery battalion in Kalay,” said a resident.
It is said that the heavy weapon fired by the junta forces landed on the house of Ms. Lah Byat Pwi and the shrapnel hit her in the head, killing her while Mr. Lal Mein Htan Ah, from Kanan Village, passed away after the explosion sent him into a shock.
Mr. Lal Rett El was hit in the stomach by the explosion near his house and passed away on the way to the hospital and Ms. Hlaung Nate Parh was similarly hit by a shell that exploded near her shop and died at Kalay General Hospital.
