CHIN STATE – Chin National Army (CNA) led Chin State government forces attacked and captured the military outpost that protecting Hakah Town, killing a total of three junta’s high rank officials, a commanding officer of Infantry Battalion – 222, a captain and police major, and capturing 19 soldiers along with weapons, said a CNA source.
On the morning of November 30, the CNA-led forces attacked and captured the guard post in Hakha, which was stationed by the Homalin-based Infantry Battalion – 222. During the battle, a lieutenant colonel, commanding officer of Infantry Battalion – 222, a captain and police major were killed, 19 junta soldiers were captured alive and 35 weapons, including heavy weapons, were seized along with ammunition.
“That camp is the junta’s guard post in Hakha. We captured it. The commanding officer was killed there. The captain and the police major were also killed,” said the CNA source.
Fighting had been ongoing, and the 19 captured prisoners of war were being detained in accordance with the laws on prisoners of war, and the Chin Revolutionary Forces were continuing to clear the surrounding area.
