MANDALAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta column reportedly burned and destroyed five villages on the western part of Madaya Township for two consecutive days, according to an official of Voice Of Mandalay (Vomdy).
On December 16, the terrorist junta column continuously burned down Mway Pu Thein and Mway Ku Toet Seik villages on the western part of Madaya Township, and burned and destroyed U Dein, Pu Thein and Sin Kone villages, on December 17.
The terrorist junta army continuously raided and burned down the villages in Madaya Township, looted the belongings of civilians and set on fire the shelters in the forest where displaced people live.
There has been no encounter between the Revolutionary Forces and the junta forces in Madaya Township. But the junta army intentionally burned and destroyed the residential villages. The residents had been forced to run away from the junta column.
“There are no people in the villages. There is no fighting. The entire villages have been burned down by the military dogs (junta soldiers). The details of the damage are not yet known. The people are unable to return to the villages. The military dogs are still there. The military dogs are burning the belongings of the people in the forest,” said the official from Voice Of Mandalay (Vomdy).
