YANGON DIVISION – Gangaw Myaing Gas Stove Shop in Hlaingtharyar Township, belonging to the junta Major Myo Lwin from Meikhtila Shante Air Base, was attacked, killing a ten-household chief and injuring a hundred-household chief and the younger brother of the junta officer, reported an official from a Yangon urban guerrilla force.
The shop, located on the Anawyahtar Street at Apyinpadan Village in western Hlaingtharyar Township, was attacked with explosives around 6 a.m. on November 3. The attack killed a ten-household chief and heavily wounded a hundred-household chief and the younger brother of the junta major while two cars were also destroyed.
“The two cars also belonged to the shop. We heard that someone died. It is true that there was an explosion and a fire. The fire department came and extinguished the fire after the explosion resulted in a fire yesterday morning (November 3). Then junta soldiers and police arrived and searched around the shop. They also blocked the road,” said a local civilian.
Meanwhile, the urban guerrilla force stated that they will continue to carry out attacks to respond to the brutal killings of civilians committed by the fascist junta subordinate air force, that the attack was postponed for the concerns of harming the civilians and was carried out as a warning as the junta air force continued with its inhumane crimes.
An official from Mission R Yangon Urban Guerrilla Force explained that the gas stove shop belonged to the family of Major Myo Lwin from the junta air force, that it was picked to cause the least amount of harm, that all such businesses must close and warned that there will be more of these attacks. The official also sternly warned the members of the junta air force to cease the terrorist bombing attacks targeting the civilians, warning that they are picking their own destiny by ignoring the warning.
