TANINTHARYI DIVISION – A forcibly conscripted junta soldier in Dawei Township entered the legal fold by surrendering with his weapon and was awarded 50 lakhs Kyats, reported an official from Tavoy People’s Liberation Force (TPLF).
Private Sai Lin Ko from infantry 282 who was forcibly conscripted by the terrorist junta council on October 6 surrendered to TPLF and TPLF rewarded him 50 lakhs Kyats as he brought along one MA3 gun, one cartridge and 23 5.56mm bullets with him.
An official from TPLF urged the members of the junta forces who were conscripted for various reasons to surrender and enter the legal fold to avoid having regrets later and informed that TPLF guarantees the safety of those junta forces who surrendered, entered the legal fold or seek refuge after deserting their posts according to international war regulations and that they will be welcomed.
