BAGO DIVISION- The battalion-3601 of Paunde People’s Defense Force (PPDF) reported that a hundred-household administrator appointed by the military council was shot and killed on the night of December 1st in Paunde, Bago Yoma region.
The hundred-household administrator, Mr. Tin Maung Win of Kyogone Group, Kyogone village, was reportedly shot and killed at his home at around 8 o’clock last night (December 1).
“When we went to eliminate him (Mr. Tin Maung Win), he stormed out of his house with a knife. We shot him once in the head and in the chest, which killed him on the spot,” said the communications and information officer of PPDF Batallion 3601.
A military council telegram channel reported that Mr. Tin Maung Win was shot and beheaded on the morning of December 1.
The 3601 PPDF Battalion Information Officer said Mr. Tin Maung Win was targeted and eliminated since he is a military informant, tipping junta troops about PDF campsites and the information of revolutionary forces.
In addition, in Paungde Township, the Pyu Saw Htee, Mr. Thein Naing, and his wife, Win Lay, from Nyaungpinni Village, were shot on November 27 around 8:30 p.m. The woman died on the spot, and the man sustained leg injuries.
The former administrator appointed by the Military Council of in Kyogone Group was the one to be shot and killed by the resistance group on June 30, 2021, 5 months after the coup d’état.
