YANGON DIVISION – It has been reported that a junta helicopter crashed in Hmawbi Township, Yangon Division and the Commander in Chief of the Southern Regional Air Force, General Soe Tin Latt and the associate pilot reportedly died while one female pilot and one mechanic sergeant were injured heavily.
The crashed helicopter was a Eurocopter type of helicopter and four people including General Soe Tin Latt were in the helicopter, said a news source close to the Hmawbi Air force.
General Soe Tin Latt is the current Commander in Chief of the Southern Regional Air Force. The details of the helicopter crash is not yet known.
Some locals of Hmawbi Township said that the helicopter crashed inside a helicopter field and the junta council is trying to hide that news.
Some telegram channels of junta supporters posted that a training helicopter crashed in Hmawbi Township and a general was killed.
