MAGWAY DIVISION – A junta council soldier from the junta base in Tilin Township, Pakokku District, brought a MAS type sniper rifle belonging to his superior officer and surrendered to the revolutionary forces, and was awarded 65 lakhs Kyats, reported Yaw Revolution Army (YRA) Tilin.
Private Hein Thu Aung reportedly brought the weapon and surrendered to YRA Tilin, Gangaw District Battalion (15/16/17) on August 28.
YRA Tilin awarded him 65 lakhs Kyats and sent him to a liberated area.
YRA Tilin also urged the soldiers and officers currently serving the junta council to realize that they should not bother protecting the wellbeing of terrorist junta leaders and families, and to face the public and join CDM instead.
