MANDALAY DIVISION – A Myingyan Thar guerrilla force official said that a policeman from the Kokeye police station in Myingyan Township who had come out to shop was shot dead and 1 gun was confiscated.
It’s been reported that on July 12, at about 3:23 p.m., a policeman who came out to shop from the Kokeye police station in Myingyan fired and killed a G3 gun, 34 of 7.62 bullets, and 1 phone was confiscated.
“He was shopping out of the Kokeye police station on foot. We hid and shot him because of the precautions. So we didn’t shoot each other, and yesterday there were heavy weapons and gunfire,” said an official of the Myingyan Thar guerrilla force.
The attack was carried out by Myingyan comrades from the Myingyan Guerrilla Force and returned members of the People’s Defense Forces without harm. As a result of this shooting, soldiers inside the Kokeye police station reportedly fought heavily in the night with heavy weapons.
