KAREN STATE – Mutraw (Papun) of Karen National Union (KNU) said that there had been 47 clashes in Papun District as of mid-October, and 11 soldiers had been killed.
From October 1 to 15, a total of 47 skirmishes occurred between the allied forces of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) of KNU and the terrorist junta army in Papun District, and 11 junta forces were killed and nine were injured.
Moreover, the Revolutionary Forces were able to destroy a military barracks building and a military vehicle. The junta army had relied on airstrikes during the fights and dropped 51 bombs with its aircrafts.
In the same way, the junta army fired five artillery shells on the villages and farms where the civilians live, killing three innocent people and injuring three others. The residential houses, belongings of civilians, farms and crops were also destroyed.
