KAREN STATE – The Supreme Headquarter of Karen National Union (KNU) reported that there were 101 clashes in Mutraw (Papun) District, KNU Brigade 5 area, in July and a total of 52 terrorist junta soldiers were killed.
There were 101 encounters between the allied forces of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the terrorist junta army in Mutraw (Papun) District of Kawthoolei Administrative Area under KNU, from July 1 to 31.
A total of 52 terrorist junta soldiers were killed, 12 others were injured, and two military related buildings were damaged during the fighting. There were no casualties among the KNLA’s Brigade 5 and allied Revolutionary Forces.
During those battles, the coup terrorist junta army was only able to deliver rations by air to support its troops but carried out many targeted artillery and airstrike attacks on civilian areas in the villages and workplaces.
