KAREN STATE – The Supreme Headquarter of Karen National Union (KNU) reported that five more junta soldiers were killed and five weapons seized during the fighting in Mutraw (Papun) District.
KNU reported the military situation that occurred on November 30 and December 1.
The joint Revolutionary Forces of Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) attacked the terrorist junta forces in Htee Thee U area of Papun District, on December 1, killing a junta soldier.
On November 30, KNLA and joint Revolutionary Forces also clashed with the junta army once in Papun area (Nget Pyaw Taw) and once in Htee Thee U area. During the fight, four junta soldiers were killed and three MA-1 and one MA-4 were captured.
The KNLA joint forces reported that they had captured another 81 mm artillery during a clearing of Ma Htaw military base, On November 22.
After the KNLA joint forces captured Ma Htaw military base, they launched an interception attack on the junta forces fleeing the base. In the attack on November 23, 10 junta soldiers were killed and five MMK soldiers were killed in the attack on November 27. They also reported that they had captured a large amount of weapons and ammunition from the junta army.
The KNLA joint forces reported that they had captured three military bases in November and were blocking and conducting an offensive on junta’s strategic outpost in Papun, according to the Southern Military Region, which is fighting alongside KNLA.
