MANDALAY DIVISION – A woman who was queuing for a long time to get fuel for her motorcycle under the scorching heat in Mandalay is reported to have died after passing out.
The 57-year-old woman reportedly collapsed and passed away while queuing at New Day gas station on the Sagaing-Mandalay Road in Tampawaddy Ward, Chanmyathazi Township on August 17 afternoon.
“It was very hot yesterday (August 17). The queue was also very long. That lady passed out after saying she was dizzy. Emergency cars arrived but she passed away,” said a witness.
The deceased woman was said to be a resident of Nantawyar Ward.
It is difficult to purchase fuel in many parts of the country including Mandalay and people are troubled as they have to queue for hours to purchase fuel.
