RAKHINE STATE – The junta fighter jets bombed the four mile Border Guards Battalion 2 where junta POWs captured during the battles in Maungtaw were temporarily detained on September 9 around 9:30 p.m.
The junta council forces, Muslim militants, junta informants and prisoners captured by the Arakan Army (AA) during battles were detained there.
The junta bomb attacks killed over 50 POWs on the spot and injured many and the Arakan Army is said to be treating the injured.
Fighting remains fierce in Maungtaw as the junta forces, Muslim militants and Muslim recruits trained by the junta council are attacking the Arakan Army.
