NORTHERN SHAN STATE – A Northern Shan news source said that the junta council launched an airstrike early this morning near Pyanelon village in Kutkai township.
On October 10th, at around 2:30 in the morning, an airstrike took place near Pyanelon village. The area is controlled by the 2nd Battalion under the 10th Brigade of the KIA Southern Regional Command, and there are also TNLA troops nearby.
“We initially learned that there were no casualties. It was hit at a hot spring near Pyanelon village, (2nd) Battalion of KIA Brigade (10) where the junta council dropped aerial bombardment. It fell in the field,” said Northern Shan Military and Political analyst Mr. Zaw San said.
Lashio City Rehabilitation Organization wrote on Facebook that the Junta Council Army also carried out an air attack on Manchat Village in Hsenwi township early this morning, injuring 5 people.
Mr. Zaw San said that Manchat village is in the area of the KIA’s (17th) Battalion of (10th) Brigade.
“The military council, which is losing both militarily and politically, is unable to attack by land and infantry to various regions of country. Since they are out of power, they are attacking from the air deliberately,” Mr. Zaw San said.
Hsenwi township was attacked and occupied by Kokant Army (MNDAA) and Kutkhai township was attacked and occupied by TNLA. KIA brigades already have territories in these townships, and KIA has attacked and occupied some areas such as Nampheka in Kutkhai township.
