MYANMAR – Along with the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), the People Defense Bodies attacked (8) cities and captured them, according to the voice of the People Defense Body.
As the backbone of the militia’s strategy, the People Defense Bodies stand as the backbone in city-occupation battles and they are participating in city confiscations and have been able to seize (8) cities in the current period.
However, Kani, Taze, Tabayin, Taungtha, Kawlin, and Natogyi (6) cities were attacked as a town capture battle and retreated.
The cities that were seized were mountainous areas, including cities close to ethnic armed resistance groups. It has been mentioned that cities such as Kani, Natogyi, and Taungtha are located exclusively in the lowland areas of the interior of Myanmar that can be occupied.
The People’s Defense Army (PDF) and the People Defense Body have to fight only in isolated areas of the lowland, and the PDF is always in charge of the main attack in the form of an army, while the People’s Defense Body is in the form of a militia and blocks the enemy’s supply path. He said that they take the responsibilities of public organizing duty.
It is stated that the relevant public support is very important for fighting in the regions of central Myanmar, and the People Defense Body groups that are closest to the people have to carry out that responsibility.
Looking at the fact that they are able to carry out city-occupation battles in the central regions of Myanmar, it shows that the People Defense Body groups are able to fulfill their assigned responsibilities. In the future, there will be offensive attacks on most of the cities in the lowland areas, and the role of the People Defense Body in the city capture battles will become more important.
