BAGO DIVISION – Nyunt Myaing, the armed junta administration officer for Butseinbu Village in Min Hla Township who is rumoured to possess a protective charm against bullets died on the spot after getting shot, reported an official from Underground Guerrilla Force (Oakpho).
The junta administration officer reportedly died on the spot after getting shot 12 times by the members of Underground Guerrilla Force (Oakpho), Company 4 of Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802 near the bridge in front of Butseinbu Village around 9 a.m. on August 5.
It is said that one pistol, two hand grenades, 16 bullets, one bullet proof vest, a motorcycle, a mobile phone, 125,000 Kyats in cash, one ID card and a pension card for military veterans were seized from the body of the junta administration officer.
Nyunt Myaing was a former military veteran and a hardcore supporter of the junta council known for possessing a protective charm against bullets. He was previously attacked by revolutionary forces as a warning in November, 2023 for reporting the revolutionary comrades and PDF soldiers to the junta council and threatening and oppressing the civilians to please the junta regime after which he claimed to have left his position of administration officer. However, he continued to work for the joint council and oppress the people even more relying on his weapon and thus was chosen as a target for elimination, explained the official from Underground Guerrilla Force (Oakpho).
In addition, the official requested the people to stay away from the junta pillars as they will be taking serious actions on those junta pillars who are a thorn in the side of the people and the revolutionary forces, and who are forcibly recruiting for the junta army and extorting civilians.
