MYANMAR – In order to support those affected who believed in human rights and freedom, the public leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s “Mata” black teak statue will be auctioned. (Mata= Mother in Pali Language)
The leaders of the auction said that although the terrorist group has unjustly abducted and imprisoned the public leader, the spirit of the public leader is as hard as steel and will not fall.
This beautifully carved portrait of mother Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, “Mata”, is said to be a symbol of the combination of the mother’s resilience and the mother’s unfailing loyalty.
The mother’s face was carved by a PDF soldier on the black teak (a tree left as a virgin), and it is a carved black teak statue that proves the strength and spirit of those who continue to fight for revolution and democracy.
This carving is not just art, but also the symbol of Justice and struggle for freedom and peace.
