KACHIN STATE – Kachin Independence Army (KIA) led Revolutionary Forces attacked and captured No. 1002 Border Guard Headquarters, which mainly protects Pang War Town, where the headquarters of Kachin State Special Region 1, led by Zahkung Ting Ying under controlled of terrorist junta council, is located, along with four military bases, and many of arms and ammunition, corpses of soldiers and prisoners of war were captured, said KIA news source.
On October 14 and October 15, at 12:40 p.m., Lu Pyi No. 1002 main camp and three guard posts, a total of four camps, were completely captured by the KIA and joint forces.
“Arms and ammunition, prisoners of war, dead bodies of the junta soldiers and militia were seized. The number of dead is unknown. More than 100 weapons, along with ammunition were confiscated,” KIA source said.
According to recent reports, Kumo Ze Hkawng, Deputy Director of the Kachin State Special Region-1 Militia, and Langjaw Sau Ting, Battalion Commander of the 1002 BGF Camp, were injured and fled to China, but it was difficult to confirm the exact details.
According to a military source, Zahkung Ting Ying led headquarters of the militia under command of junta army and No. 1002 BGF strategic outpost, where the headquarters of Kachin Special Region 1, is located, are protecting Pang War Town, and it is very important for militarily, said the military news source.
KIA and allied People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) reportedly acquired Chipwi Town that was controlled by Zahkung Ting Ying, on September 29, captured Tsawlaw Town, on September 30, afterwards, their offensives were heading to Pang War Town.It was said that Tsalaw, Chipwi, Waingmaw and Kanpaikti townships are included in the Zahkung Ting Ying led Kachin State Special Region 1.
KIA and allied forces seized 11-mile BGF camp on Chipwi – Pang War Road, on October 3, the junta’s temporary Lang Jaw base on Pang War Road, on October 4, and No. 1002 BGF strategic outpost, on October 14.
