SHAN STATE – The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) carried out offensive attacks against junta’s North Eastern Command (NEC) in Lashio City, and around 200 of junta forces from the frontline guard post started their surrender, on the afternoon of August 2.
“The junta forces that defended from inside of the hospital surrendered. There were around 200 forces. MNDAA detained them, and continued its offensive attacks,” said a ground military source.
It was initially reported that the junta forces of No (9) 100 beds military hospital in North Eastern Command compound, surrendered. The junta’s lobbyists were continuously spreading false information that the patient and employees of the hospital were killed by MNDAA.
The military council was fiercely defending NEC and sent its reinforcements by air routes. However, MNDAA and joint forces have surrounded the NEC compound and were conducting offensive attacks to capture it completely.
“The NEC compound was surrounded, and it will be completely captured in a few days,” said a local of Lashio City.
