MYANMAR – Artist Lin Nhith is auctioning off the copyrights to his song, “Chit Thu Eain Ah Pyan” to assist the people affected by the flood in the country.
The auction started at 500 USD and the highest bid is reported to have reached 5,000 USD so far.
“I also wanted to contribute to this cause so I decided to auction off the song. It has been quite some time since I’ve written this song or performed a demo for it. A friend has performed it before. But the buyer will receive the full copyright to the song, meaning they will be able to repeatedly perform it, use it in other media or even decide if others can perform it,” explained Lin Nhith.
The auction will end at 11a.m. USA time on Sunday, September 15 and the people willing to bid on the song can do so by commenting under the post made by Lin Nhith or by sending a message to his messenger.
Lin Nhith is an artist who stood on the side of the people during the revolution and is currently living in the United States and performing in fund raising shows for the revolution.
