CHINA-MYANMAR BORDER – As the war in the Muse could intensify, Burmese residents in Xing Luo said that the Chinese authorities are warning the people living in Xing Luo to move to Ruili.
On December 2, the Chinese authorities are collecting the list of Burmese people and warning people living in Xing Luo to temporarily move to Ruili.
“The Chinese authorities came to tell those at Xing Luo to move to Ruili and took a list of them, asking them to move to Ruili tonight (December 2) if possible. They were told that they can visit Xing Luo in the morning and afternoon, as long as the entrances and exits are not closed but to spend the night at Ruili. If they had not moved from Muse when the battles intensify, the government would come and collect them in a car but they will have to stay at the place designated by the government,” said a Myanmar resident of Xing Luo.
It is said that the displaced people who have arrived in Xing Luo confirmed the news that the Chinese authorities are forcing them to move and are preparing to move to Ruili again.
