CHIN STATE – Chinland Defense Force (CDF) Hakha officially released a statement that four policemen were killed and 62 prisoners, including political prisoners, were rescued in the attack and capture of the junta council’s police station in Hakha.
The attack was launched at 5:30 a.m. on July 20 under the name of ‘Operation Rung’ and seized the Hakha Myoma police station. The allied Chin Revolutionary forces assaulted the junta’s police station. It was reported that four policemen were killed and many were injured in the raid. 49 male and 13 female prisoners were rescued from the cell of the police station. Chin Revolutionary forces were able to retreat without harm.
“Now we are back to a safe place, our camp. The attack started this morning (July 20) around 5:30, three policemen fell. There were no junta soldiers at the camp. Only the policemen stationed. There were about 14 policemen. The rest of the police ran away, and not captured. We did what we could do and withdrew from there. There were 13 female and 49 male prisoners, a total of 62. Both political prisoners and others. All the prisoners are now being examined. That’s all I can say,” an official from the Hakha Brigade 4 of CDF said.
During the attack on the junta police station, the terrorist soldiers did not provide supports to their members. At present, Chin Revolutionary forces are waiting outside the Hakha Town and the terrorist soldiers have been hiding inside their battalion camp in the town.
The CDF Hakha announced with photos that 23 weapons and ammunition were confiscated in the attack.
