On November 30, at 6:30 p.m., the junta’s fighter jet bombarded on In Gyin Taung Ward, resulting in killing 10 civilians, injuring 20 and destroying nine residential houses. The junta fighter jet reportedly dropped a 500-pound bomb.
The airstrikes killed 10 civilians and injured more than 20 others in In Gyin Taung Ward of Kyaukme Township. The injured were rushed to hospital for emergency medical treatment and the dead bodies were being searched for.
“The area where the bomb was dropped is a large residential area. It is a densely populated neighborhood. There is nothing military-related. It was in the evening when people were resting inside their homes,” said a local resident from Kyaukme Town.
The junta army bombed Kyaukme Town five days after the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF) /TNLA officially announced on November 25 that they were always ready to meet and resolve military tensions.
