YANGON DIVISION- An official from the Yangon Army told the media that 2 to 3 police officers were killed in the attack on the Yanking police station with a high-intensity remote-controlled mine.
On December 1, around 7:30 p.m., the two bunkers in the Yankin police station were blasted with remote-controlled IED (improvised explosive device) by the cooperative force of Western District PDF and Yangon Army (YA).
In the attack, at least 2 (or more) policemen in the bunker may have been killed and the damage may be extensive.
“We are speeding up our urban warfare as we promised. In tonight’s attack a high-intensity explosive is used, so the damage may be more than expected,” said an official in Yangon’s Western District PDF.
The sounds of the explosion could be heard as far as the other side of the Kyimyindaing riverbank.
“We, PDFs, will continue to do a lot of missions in Yangon, so we need to inform the public to stay away from places related to the terrorist war council. We will join hands and work with our partner organizations in the revolution until we win all the fights in Yangon,” said Yangon Regional PDF Spokesperson and Vice-commander Mr. Min Yan Naing.
“I heard 2 loud explosions in Yankin,” a resident of Yangon told the media.
“We will effectively attack all the departments that are oppressing the people in various ways, and we will continue to attack other major targets. We requested civilians to stay away from the areas occupied by the military council,” the revolutionary forces stated.
