KACHIN STATE – Local news source reported that the junta army bombarded the Sadon Town of Waingmaw Township on Friday (November 22), which has been under the control of Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
The town’s administration office was destroyed in the airstrike towards Sadon, located at an altitude of more than 4,000 feet above sea level.
“One person had minor injury,” the local news source said regarding the casualties in the airstrike.
Some sources also posted video footage of the damage to the town’s administrative office on social media, and damage to buildings and vehicles were seen. The KIA has been in control of Sadon since June this year.
The terrorist council also bombarded Sadon on the night of October 21.
Without having a battle, the junta council has been conducting airstrikes on areas it has lost to revolutionary forces. On November 15, the Kachin Baptist Church in Konelaw village, Momauk Township, which was occupied by the KIA, faced airstrike by fascist council, killing 9 people, including 7 children, and injuring many others.
Similarly, the military council has repeatedly carried out airstrikes on the towns of Nawnghkio, Mogok, Mong Ngo, and Kutkai, which are occupied by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), killing at least 26 people and injuring more than 50 in recent days.
