MANDALAY DIVISION – Mogok Strategic Battalion 1222 announced that anyone from the leader to the soldier violating the code of conduct can be reported and that any effective action will be taken.
The battalion stated that it has set rules and codes of conduct for interacting with the public as well as to maintain within the battalion and that it is concerned that the effect of the Chain of Command and rules might weaken after the number of soldiers in the battalion increased.
As such, the battalion informed the people that they can report to the Facebook page of the battalion or its leaders if its members acted rudely either physically or verbally when interacting with the public.
The battalion vowed that effective action will be taken depending on the severity of the violation committed, no matter the leader or soldier.
“There can be some errors when our members have direct interaction with the public. It is not just our battalion but can also be found in other battalions. Depending on the territory status, our soldiers might have to interact with the public when setting up checkpoints without being observed. During those interactions, maybe also due to the weakness of our country’s education, we heard that our soldiers committed some mistakes. There are people who don’t know where or how they can report those incidents. That’s why we issued this notice,” explained a responsible person of Battalion 1222.
In addition, Battalion 1222 also informed that those who acted rudely towards the allied forces can also be reported.
Battalion 1222 is based in Mogok Township but is carrying out missions in Singu and Thabeikkyin Townships as well.
