MYANMAR – Local sources reported that a battle broke out near Yargyi Tower Tai Camp in Kani Township, Sagaing Division, and that the junta council carried out airstrikes.
Revolutionary forces clashed against the terrorist junta troops near the camp on the morning of October 18, and the junta council attacked using a helicopter.
“The battle began in the morning today (October 18). The resident villagers had already fled. There is a temporary camp of the junta council there. They already attacked twice via helicopter. We don’t know about the damages yet,” said a resident.
Yargyi Tower Tai Camp of the terrorist junta council is located near the Monywa-Yargyi-Kalaywa Road and was captured by Yinmabin District Battalion 1 and 2 last year. However, as it was a site that is logistically important for the junta council, junta troops set up camp there again.
Voice of Mandalay also announced that the junta council carried out airstrikes in western Madaya Township, Mandalay Division. It is said that a junta Mi-35 helicopter conducted airstrikes around 1:55 p.m. on October 18.
