SAGAING DIVISION – The Budalin Mobile Team -BMT of Butalin Township in Monywa District has started farming for food supplies of the team.
They planted it on the land that was leased free of charge by a local landowner farmer for the convenience of supplies to the team.
The finance officer of BMT, Sayar Zaw, said that Ayar Min grain type was planted on that land, starting from the second week of September, and the planting was completed on September 18.
From 5 acres of cultivated land, rice has been planted in 3 acres, 1 acre of peanuts, and the rest 1 acre has been planted with chickpeas, pepper, brinjal, morning glory, roselle and also raised 8 pigs.
Together with the revolutionary comrades, the local people also helped and supported in making the soil, and planting.
The farming works are taken care in turn by the BMT comrades at the backend.
Last year, rice grains were planted in rainy season and more than 2500kg of rice were produced, and since it had helped for food supply, the BMT comrades have expanded the farming work, said Sayar Zaw, the finance officer of BMT.
