SAGAING DIVISION- BNRA announced on November 17 that 25 prisoners of war and ammunition were seized during the Pale Town battle and they retreated as the junta’s airstrikes and reinforcements were difficult to cut off.
BNRA informs that the military council’s last camps in Pale Town, the township general office and the police station, were seized and they took control of the entire Pale Town around 48 hours after launching offensives at 4:30 a.m. on November 11.
They were able to control the town in a short period despite the junta air support and tried to continue to control it. Despite the air forces under the military council North-West Military Command such as Tada U, Shan Tae Air Force, and MAGWAY Air Base launching more than 70 airdrops, resistance forces were able to attack and conquer the town, stated BNRA.
Although they were able to cut off ground reinforcement, those from air support and aerial attacks were hard to cut off and control, and thus BNRA announced that they withdrew from the Town city on the evening of November 14, the fourth day of the operation.
Twenty-five prisoners of war were captured during the operation to seize Pale Town, and BNRA informs that most of them are receiving medical treatment due to injuries.
During the operation five MA1, two MA2, four MA3, an MA4 supporting pair, six G3, two G4, and an MA5 pistol were seized along with ammunition, BNRA announced.
In addition, nine soldiers from BNRA had fallen, 10 soldiers from BNRA and one soldier from GZA were reportedly injured during the operation.
It is reported that the Burmese National Revolutionary Army (BNRA) led the operation to seize the Pale Town, and the brotherhood force Generation Z Army (GZA) and the Southern Yesagyo (SYSO) led by Major Aung Maung joined hands with the Chin Nyinaung Operation (CB Operation) and worked as a Coordinated Movement.
BNRA expressed its gratitude to Dr. Nang Win, the deputy in charge of Pale Township PDF, who cooperated with the needs, including health care, during the operation.
Currently, due to Junta’s aerial attacks, nearly ten thousand people are fleeing and in urgent need of food and medicine.
