MYANMAR – Brighter Energy Retail, owned by Aung Ko Win, a major junta pillar of Kanbawza Group, is reported to have imported at least 900,000 liters of fuel for the junta council.
On September 24, the company imported 10,547 litres of Octane 92 for Junta 525th Supply and Transportation Company in Mawlamyaing, 29,472 liters for the Tathon-based supply and transportation company, 181,090 litres for the 121st Supply and Transportation Company in Pyin Oo Lwin, 217,472 litres for the Nay Pyi Taw based 935th Supply and Transportation Company, 5,823 litres of Octane 92, 4,219 litres of Octane 95 and 25,217 litres of diesel for the 121st Company in Magway, 79,973 litres of Octane 92, 19,739 litres of Octane 95 and 206,747 litres of diesel for the 323rd Company in Mingaladon, and 15,766 litres of Octane 92, 6,423 litres of Octane 95 and 74,509 litres of diesel for the 121st Company in Magway, a total of 876,997 litres of fuel.
It is said that Brighter Energy Retail and Brighter Group of Companies owned by Aung Ko Win are also involved in importing jet fuel in addition to fuel for the battalions under the junta council.
KBZ Bank, also owned by Aung Ko Win is also collaborating with the junta council in many businesses and has won the tender for digital payroll of junta staff.
Aung Ko Win and Kanbawza Group also provided at least ten billion Kyats when the junta council asked for money in September during the ongoing flood disaster.
