MAGWAY DIVISION – It was reported that No. 2 Battalion, Minbu District held a Chin Lone (Sepak Takraw) tournament on August 12 to boost the morale of PDF soldiers.
It is said that in order to improve the physical and mental strength of the PDF soldiers, six teams were formed and competed in the Chin Lone (Sepak Takraw) tournament.
“We want our comrades to be good at everything, not just in combat. We want them to be mentally and physically united,” said the Lieutenant of Minbu District Battalion No. 2.
He also said his comrades took part in the tournament without caring about win or loss but with full sportsmanship, adding that it’s also necessary to enjoy themselves.
The winning teams were awarded one pack of cigarette and 10 packets of tea for the first place, 30 cigarettes and 7 packets of tea for the second place and 20 cigarettes and 5 packets of tea for the third place.
The Finale was held on August 13 morning, and the winning teams were presented their prizes by the battalion commander and I.O.
