BAGO DIVISION – An official from Phyu Township People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) said that seven junta forces were killed in the drone bomb attack on the junta column stationed at Ywarlal Monastery in Nyaungpintha Town, Phyu Township.
On August 7 night between 9:58 p.m. and 10:36 p.m., two grenades were dropped by drone on around 30 junta forces stationed at Ywarlal Monastery at the corner of Myoma 3rd Street and Myoma 2nd Street in eastern Nyaungpintha. Two terrorist junta soldiers were killed on the spot while three more died later at Taungoo Hospital.
“The column has been there since August 3. We also attacked on that day. There are around 30 of them. Our comrades are safe,” said the official from Phyu Township PDO.
The same terrorist junta column was similarly attacked by drone grenades on August 3 between 5:07 a.m. and 5:33 a.m., injuring one junta soldier in the thigh and another in the cheek. Another attack on the same day from 1:53 p.m. to 2:32 p.m. killed two junta forces and the injured were sent to the hospital.
In response to the attacks, the junta forces fired heavy weapons towards Ohnpinsu Village and Inpintha Village to the east of Nyaungpintha.
The attacks were carried out by the drone team of Phyu Township PDO.
