KAREN STATE – KNU – Central (Karen National Union – Central) issued a statement on July 15 saying that the local civilians have been forced to flee as the fascist junta council fired heavy weapons and conducted offensive attacks towards the villages in Muu township, Khlae Lwehtoo (Nyaunglebin) district, Kawthoolei territory, Karen National Union (KNU).
The civilians have been forced to flee as the inhumane junta council troops have always fired the heavy weapons towards the villages and have conducted aerial bombardments using drones. As it is the rainy season and due to the unclean environment, the civilians are facing diarrhea problems.
Moreover, they also have to face insufficient medications and accommodations.
It was mentioned in the statement that the brutal junta council troops are conducting offensive attacks towards the villages continuously, have been stationed in the villages and threatened the working civilians by firing heavy weapons. Therefore, the civilians dared not work in the farms and left their farms behind to flee.
