MON STATE – The junta council’s artillery battalion 318 and Phaungsein checkpoint at the entrance of Thanphyuzayat on the Mudon-Thanphyuzayat Road were bombed with drones and eight junta forces including two officers were killed, according to Mr. Naing Banyar Mon, the spokesperson of New Mon State Party – Anti Dictatorship (NMSP-AD).
Phaungsein checkpoint was attacked on November 23 and three terrorist junta forces, two of whom were officers, were killed and two more were injured.
Junta artillery battalion 318 at Abit Village in Mudon Township was similarly attacked on November 26, killing five junta forces and injuring one, according to NMSP-AD.
“We attacked the junta artillery battalion using drones on November 26. We found out that the junta officers killed during the attack on Phaungsein checkpoint were captains,” said Mr. Naing Banyar Mon.
