MYANMAR – The National Unity Government Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management announced on September 12 night that they are providing emergency rations to displaced people affected by the flood.
The heavy rains on September 11 resulted in severe flooding in several townships, villages and wards all across Myanmar.
The emergency rations provided to the flood affected displaced people were sourced from the funds raised by the “From the people to the people” program and the share of tax to the humanitarian department.
In addition, local humanitarian teams, people’s defence rescue teams and people’s administration teams are said to be cooperating in the rescue and evacuation of elders, children and displaced people.
The Ministry also expressed its gratitude for the collaborative efforts of the humanitarian officers from each township, volunteers and donors to deliver the rations to the displaced people.
In addition, the Ministry informed that they are sharing updates on the meteorological news and suggestions for preparations depending on special situations on their Facebook page for the people.
