MYANMAR – Since March7 morning, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) has been attacking the junta council camps near Laiza, Kachin State, where its headquarters is located, and on the Myitkyina – Bhamo road, and the Arakan Army (AA) is also conducting a joint offensive, AA announced.
The camps near Laiza and Khara Bom, including Entom Bom, Phon Pyae Bom and boom, Point (936) Hill, Kham Kai Bom, Point (259) the airfield camp and some other camps are being attacked simultaneously.
As for the Arakan Army, it is said that it is conducting joint military operations with its ally KIA in these offensives, as well as carrying out offensives by taking exclusive responsibility.
Infantry Battalion (103rd) under the (88th) Division of the Terrorist War Council near Momauk township, Point (259) Airfield Camp Hill and the enemy’s Point (611) (Ntap Bum) Camp Hill near Dawhponeyan township, Bhamo district are attacked by AA.
As the enemy battalions carried out heavy weapons and aerial attacks throughout the day, heavy weapons fell near the public hospital of Laiza, where the KIO headquarters is located, and some of the heavy weapons exploded near the Chinese border town bordering Laiza.
Some Kachin military sources said that during the offensive of the KIA and its allies on March 7th, they were able to capture 10 junta council camps and continue to attack the remaining military camps.
Describing the military situation in the Rakhine region, during the (116) days of the Rakhine region operation, the Arakan Army has captured the designated military targets and is continuing its efforts to capture the remaining enemy camps.
The Arakan Army continued to attack some of the enemy’s remaining camps in Yathaetaung, Butheetaung and Maungdaw cities, just like the previous days. AA announced that the Arakan Army is still trying to take over the Junta Council’s army LIB (536), (537) and (538) battalions based in Yathaetaung area despite heavy resistance from army, navy and air support.
AA informs that the troops continues to attack the enemy’s remaining forces and reinforcements inside the city during the fighting in Ramree and continues to clearing the fleeing enemy.
The Arakan Army announced that it has been attacking military targets one by one, which it has set for final capture, and is hunting down and arresting the terrorist military council troops who did not surrender during the offensive.
