MON STATE – Locals reported that the runaway Police Chief from Kinmunchaung Station is being searched by junta troops, even blocking the checkpoints at the Kyaikhto and Belin Towns border.
On June 22, at around 4:00 p.m., Police Chief Zaw Min Aung was not present at the usual reporting time, so Border Patrol Officer, Deputy Chief Win Ko Ko went to check his residence. It was found that he had run away and a 38-volt pistol and twelve bullets were left behind.
The police chief, Zaw Min Aung, who defected from duty, is reportedly being hunted down by the border officer, Deputy Chief Win Ko Ko, and his team. Junta troops are currently looking for the defected officer by blocking and inspecting at Shwe Thanlwin Toll Gate, Mayanchuang Inspection Camp in Kyaikhto Town, and the Checkpoint Gate at the Mupalin Intersections.
