SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta council raiding and torching villages in southern Kanbalu has displaced over 3,000 civilians and assistance is required, according to Mr. Aung Gyi, the responsible person of Kanbalu based Daung Ni People’s Defence Force (PDF).
Most of these displaced people are from the villages of Hpotekone and Nyaungpaungyin and they are living under plastic sheets for shelter and require help for ration and health care.
Out of the many necessities of the displaced people, anti-snake venom serum is said to be on the top of the list.
“The people require assistance for many things. We just returned after donating them meals. They mainly need anti-snake venom serums,” said Mr. Aung Gyi from Daung Ni PDF.
The terrorist junta forces frequently raiding and torching the villages in Kanbalu Township has forced civilians to flee again and again.
Just this July in Kanbalu, at least 11 people have been bitten by venomous snakes and one of them passed away, reported Kyunhla Kanbalu Activists Group who stated that the junta raids and arson has also made it unsafe to provide treatment to the people.
