SAGAING DIVISION – Minister Min Naung from the junta’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation declared that the ministry would not take any responsibility upon the staff (not participated in Civil Disobedience Movement_Non-CDM) Kyaw Myo Htway from Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics under his ministry has been arrested by one of the PDFs since the case happened while the staff was returning to his wife.
After Non-CDM staff Land Records-4 Kyaw Myo Htway have returned to Chat Thin Village, Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Division where his family live, on June 2 at around 4:30 p.m., the stated arrest by one of the PDFs happened on the same night at around 9 p.m.
“We feel sympathetic. But this case occurred as he didn’t stay in Kanbalu and return to Chat Thin for long time being known everything, this will be his own responsibility as he went back to his wife on Friday without giving enough heed and attention and the notice has been released many times. I want all the DG (Director General) to direct your subordinates by writing announcements effectively and clearly with one-by-one rules and regulations they need to follow,” the junta’s minister Min Naung commented on the staff Kyaw Myo Htway being arrested.
Min Naung has been assigned as the junta’s minister of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation on February 01, 2023, and is said to be known as one of the Major Generals who had served as Lieutenant General position in the junta’s military.
In addition, the junta council has reportedly ordered to the ministries that Non-CDM staff must follow the orders and directions released for the security concerns, live in the staff housing, notify before traveling, not go outside except the duty during working hours, not wear uniform due to the region’s security concerns and inform to related department if there is any threaten by the armed forces.
“Non-CDM staff have to mind on their own security. If fail to do so and being abducted or killed, the junta council ordered that there won’t have any responsibility taken by them. The related department leaders also mentioned not to go out and take own responsibility in monthly briefing,” one of the watermelons (the informer to the revolutionary forces) staff from one of the junta’s ministry in Naypyitaw said.
